I am the parent of a 9yo girl with autism. How can I find out what professionals in my area use BERS?

As a homeschooler, I applaud your work! In my case study of one (my daughter <g>), I find that focusing on her strengths enables her to do many things that surprise me. I hoped she would be ready to start writing stories this school year, but was somewhat doubtful. She loves to draw pictures so I decided to have her draw first and write about her picture!! She writes the most delightful stories (with help from me to model correct grammar and syntax). Next week, for her co-operative class, each child is supposed to present about a state. I know it will be too much to expect her to stand in front of the class and read so I'm going to tape her reading her report at home. We are making a poster with pictures of the state she picked that she has colored. For the presentation, we plan to play the tape and have her point at her poster. For math word problems, I write them about her favorite interests (Crash Bandicoot and cereal boxes) and we have her color code bar charts (she is drawn to color). She is finally starting to "get" word problems, which is wonderful, considering her difficulties with language!
