I appreciate your thoughts about the strength-based assessment model. I agree that a "one size fits all" approach to services or treatment is not effective. It is very important to individualize our assessments and services to the children and families that receive services. Also, your comments about resistant adolescent who have a problem with strength assessment. We have found that to be the case also. However, adolescents after "testing the system" usually adapt quite well to discussing strengths and translating that information into developing their our goals and objectives for services. I look forward to receiving your material on the resource-based approach. We have written several additional papers on strength-based assessment and I can send you copies of the material.
