Hi, I was searching for EBD informations about medical to feedback from other opinons.
First of all, I am hearing impaired mother of 5 kids.. All of my kids are hearing. my 3rd child is recent turned 8 years old (3rd grade) Mack. He diagnosed EBD since last year that he labeled by that from EBD programs. At first they thought it was ADD or ADHD.. He has been in EBD program and still seeking thearpist. They want try him get on medications last spring. I turned it down because it is only couple months away for school over due to summer.. Now, they asked me to get him on medications since he didnt doing good in classes already. its been only first week of school.. But since couple weeks, he gave us hard time and his anixety went off.. because he is not looking forward to go school. Even, we had great summer. I would say few days he had bad days. But he was alot improved with us at home... Till then, about the medical issue.. my mom is totally against to put him on medications. And myself too.. But, I dont want him giving hard time on peopl in school or himself being not happy. (he have not been happy since he was 1st grade in school).. I would love to see him to be happy and better person, it breaks my heart to seeing him like this. Often i wonder if it is school system stinks but it is not.. It has the best system for special needy kids..
Only i would like to hear from other parents or drs or anyone's opinons about medications. I tried everything i can for my son last year till now, he is just not too moviated about joining in sports, or any other activies even he is very intelligent for his age, but with his intelligent and his emotions are very stressful for him..
I would be very appreciate that you will get me some info and help..
