How to find what you are looking for on the site
There are four major ways of finding the information you are looking for on the CECP web site. You can (1) search by type of resource (links, products, current events, center team, and about CECP), (2) search by issue area (child welfare, cultural competence, families, juvenile justice, mental health, school violence prevention, and schools and special education), (3) search in the CECP online discussion section, or (4) use the search engine to do a search of the whole web site. Contains our mission statement; center brochure; strategic plan; staff directory, resumes, and contact information; and CECPs contact information. In this section, you will find a comprehensive list of organizations with whom the Center works, the people with whom the Center works, as well as a listing of places from which you can learn. This page provides links to five calendars and event lists. This is a section of links that provide a growing collection of resources on issues of emotional and behavioral problems in children and youth. The links are listed under the following categories: Child Welfare, Families, Special Needs, Treatments and Approaches, Mental Health, Juvenile Justice, Education, Early Intervention, Publications, Legislative Information, Government Resources, Organizations, School Safety and Violence Prevention, and Transition. This list of links is under revision to more closely correspond to the issue area sections. This page lists all the products publications and videos as well as a selection of journal articles CECP staff have authored in collaboration with other organization and journals with which it works. The seven issue areas, which are still under construction, seek to provide a comprehensive set of resources for the particular issue area. Under each issue area you can find the major CECP publications, promising and proven practices, federal and legislative resources, links, and online discussions related to that particular issue area. Each issue area also has a special highlight section that seeks to present resources that may be of particular importance to that issue area. The seven issue areas are:(1) Child welfare, (2) Cultural competence, (3) Families, (4) Juvenile justice, (5) Mental health, (6) School violence prevention, and (7) Schools and special education. SEARCH IN THE CECP ONLINE DISCUSSION SECTION Here you will be able to participate in online discussions and seek advice or information from an online expert. There are two different, but related, types of online discussions that CECP hosts: Author Online and Expert Online. In Author Online, you can join discussions with authors of articles relating to emotional and behavioral problems. The Expert Online forum is designed to allow people to discuss a particular topic with an expert in the field. The CECP site has a Search Engine to enable its users to find items for which they are looking. Simply type the name of what you are looking for in the search box and the search engine will display a list of matches ranked by relevance to your particular search. If you are having trouble with the site (broken links, trouble downloading documents, etc.), want to suggest links, or request copies of documents of publications, you can E-mail us at center@air.org. If you have other questions or problems please consult our Before you E-mail us page in which we list many resources who can provide answers to people with various questions or comments (such as questions about a crisis with a child or family member, or a legal question regarding special education or mental health). |
