[footer.htm]Dr. Joan Dodge, Senior Policy Associate at the National Technical Assistance Center for Childrens Mental Health, Georgetown University Child Development Center, will act as a key team member in the management and operation of the proposed Center. Dr. Dodges current responsibilities include providing targeted technical assistance to states and communities in developing systems of care for children with or at risk for serious emotional disturbance and their families. She also coordinates meetings on issues such as early intervention and mental health, school-based mental health, and collaboration between the mental health and juvenile justice fields.
Dr. Dodge served as a Program Manager for the Division for Children, Youth, and Families, Department of Family Resources, Montgomery County Government, in which she coordinated an interagency committee to design and implement a school-linked, community services pilot program for three country sites. She also served as the Associate Director for Program at For Love of Children (FLOC), in which she supervised the Learning Center, a psychoeducational day school for SED youth. Dr. Dodge also was a Special Education teacher in the Montgomery County Public Schools
