     Mr. March began his training in the field of education at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He earned a B.A. in psychology in 1988 and was awarded a general education teacher license for grades K-8 in 1989. He worked as a fourth and fifth grade teacher for several years before studying school psychology at the University of Oregon. Mr. March is a licesened school psychologist in the state of Oregon and is presently serving two elementary schools and one middle school in Springfield, Oregon while he completes a doctoral degree. Mr. March expects to complete his dissertation and earn his Ph.D by the end of summer 1998.

     Mr. March's dissertation is combining the use of functional assessment procedures with resources readily available in the school to develop interventions for students with chronic behavior problems who are served in general education settings. In addition, Mr.March has worked closely with several experts in the field of functional assessment including Rob Horner, Ph.D., and Jeff Sprague, Ph.D. both of who are serving as members of his dissertation committee.
