ACHIEVE/The Stop & Think Social Skills Program
Project ACHIEVE is a
research-proven school reform program that uses school-wide training and
classroom-based interventions to maximize the academic, and social, emotional,
and behavioral progress and outcomes of all students. Using a systematic
professional development and technical assistance approach that teaches and
reinforces critical staff skills, and strategic planning practices that guide
schools and school districts toward creating positive school climates, ensuring
academic and behavioral outcomes, and increasing parent involvement and support,
Project ACHIEVE consists of seven primary components and skill areas. These
components are: (1) Strategic Planning and Organizational Analysis and
Development; (2) Data-based Problem Solving and Effective Intervention
Assistance Teams; (3) Effective Classroom Teaching, Staff Development, and
Clinical Supervision; (4) Instructional Consultation and Curriculum-Based
Assessment leading to Intervention; (5) Behavioral Consultation and Behavioral
Assessment leading to Intervention; (6) Parent Training, Tutoring, and
Support/Community Outreach; and (7) Data Management, Research, and
Accountability.
