National Technical Assistance Center for Children's
Mental Health The National Technical Assistance Center for Children's Mental Health is part of the Georgetown University Child Development Center. Since 1984 NTAC has been serving as a national resource center for policy and technical assistance to improve service delivery and outcomes for children and adolescents with, or at risk of, serious emotional disturbance and their families. The mission of the Georgetown TA Center is to assist states and communities in building systems of care that are child- and family-centered, culturally competent, coordinated and community-based. Special areas of emphasis and expertise include system planning, interagency coordination and collaboration across the major child-serving systems, financing, managed care, service development and integration, human resource development, family involvement, cultural competence and early childhood/early intervention. |
